Detached sunny situated and comfortably furnished Chalet suitable for 4 to 8 persons divided in two apartments with separated entrances. The chalet is facing the south and overlooking the Rhône Valley with the eternal snow mountains in the background. The Chalet is very convenient for two families who want to be together but also appreciate their privacy. Fiesch is ideal in the spring, summer, autumn and winter! The Chalet is located 550yd. from the pretty centre of the village and the sun will shine till approximitely 18.00h-19.00h p.m. on the balcony and terrace (depending on the season). The Eggishorn can be reached by gondolas from Fiesch tot he Eggishorn. We think this is Switzerland’s top location for views of the Aletsch Glacier.

Surroundings

Fiesch offers many possibilities and is known for its sunny location! There are two supermarkets, sports and fashion shops, bakery, tea rooms, bar and several restaurants, 2 general practitioners, pharmacy and 2 dentists, a large indoor swimming pool with outdoor swimming pools in the area, including the special Brigerbad with hotthermal baths outside and a wellness area.

Fiesch has about 1000 inhabitants and is located at an altitude of 1050m, but the 10 person cabin cable car takes you in 7 minutes to the Fiescheralp at 2200m, where an additional cable car goes to the Eggishorn.

There you can enjoy a unique view of the Aletsch Glacier and the peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The large Aletsch Glacier including the unique flora and fauna is part of the Unesco World Heritage List.

All year round you can hike in the Fieschertal, the beautiful Gomsdal and of course on the Fiescheralp, Bettmeralp and Riederalp. In winter this is one big ski area with 100km of slopes from 2200m to 2900m. Skiing is possible from mid-December to Easter!

In summer and winter, you can go parachuting, hang-gliding and especially in the Goms Valley you can walk or bicycle In winter, it is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in Switzerland.

Winteractivities

Skiing
Skiing on top of the Aletscharena and Eggishorn 7214-9514ft. You can buy a subscription for Fiescheralp-Bettmeralp (Aletscharena) and Riederalp.Skies and boots may be given in deposit.

Cross country and Snowshoe-walking
On top of the Aletscharena are many snowshoe and walkingtrails with a magical view of the peaks around you. A special trail is made on the Bettmerlake. In Fiesch there is a trail of 7.5 miles in Fieschertal, but in the beautiful Goms Region there is 63 miles trail daily made!!

This is the biggest cross-country region of Switserland! Easily to be reached by car or take the red train of the Matterhorn Gotthardbahn who makes a stop at every village from where you can start immediately. Winter walks
All walks are prepared in Fieschertal, in the direction of Lax and Ernen. Like the cross-country trails you can enjoy the beautiful, sunny Goms Region with many well prepared trails. Summer activities

During spring, summer and autumn there are many sports and leisure opportunities. Thinking about walking or cycling but also hanggliding or parachuting. Also swimming, rafting, golf and even lama trekking is possible. There is always something to do that you might like. The Aletschgletscher is something not to be missed!

Walking
Walking with or without a guide. Even directly from the Chalet you can start. All levels possible in the valley or from the Aletscharena www.aletscharena.ch

The Goms Valley is splendid for example walking along the Rottenriver or the Gommer Höhenweg. (Rotten is first part of the Rhône). The Rhône rises near Gletsch on the Furka Pass and may be visited!

The Briger-bath is the biggest Open-air Thermal-bath of Switserland! It has a 597ft long waterslide, a fast flowing riverpool and an Olympic size pool. They even have a spa and a wellnesscenter. It is very clean, quite and well controlled. www.thermalbad-wallis.ch

River Rafting:

Golf
There are two beautiful Golf courses in the direct surroundings. In Obergesteln – www.golf-source-du-rhone.ch (20 min drive) 9 holes very varied golf course. Golfclub Riederalp www.golfclub-riederalp.ch For this golf course you have to use the cable car from Mörel to Riederalp. From the driving-range you hit the balls into the valley! Special experience!
